A big thank you to our 2026 supporters

looking ahead

The Big Survey 2026 is currently being developed in collaboration with industry leaders, subject matter experts and advocates from across the events sector.

This year, we're aiming to reach more women, gather richer data and create practical recommendations that support positive change across our industry. With a particular focus on safety, inclusion and workplace culture, the survey aligns with wider national conversations around Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and the role our industry can play in driving meaningful change.

Our goal is simple: to ensure the voices of women working in events are heard, understood and translated into action.

FAQs

Should I still complete the survey if I took part last year?

1

Yes, absolutely.

The Big Survey 2026 builds on the findings from our first survey and aims to track how experiences are changing over time. Whether your experiences have improved, stayed the same or worsened, your perspective is incredibly valuable and helps us identify trends across the industry.

Is the survey just for women?

2

The survey is primarily focused on the experiences of women working across the UK events industry.

NOWIE defines a woman as anyone who identifies as, or is happy to be identified as, part of a group of women.

can men take part?

3

Yes.

While the survey is focused on women's experiences, there is a dedicated pathway for men and allies who wish to share observations, experiences and perspectives. Understanding allyship and wider industry culture is an important part of creating meaningful change.

What will happen to the results?

4

The findings will be published in a public report later this year.

The report will include key insights, trends and recommendations designed to help create a safer, fairer and more inclusive events industry.

can I skip questions

5

Yes.

While we encourage participants to answer as fully as possible, you may choose to skip questions if you do not feel comfortable answering them.

Will the findings be shared with Government?

6

Yes.

NOWIE is working with policymakers and industry stakeholders to ensure the findings contribute to broader conversations on workplace safety, inclusion, and the national Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) strategy.
